Bio and Whatever: Gaming has been in my life since I was very young, and I attribute much of this to my very supportive mother. When I found out that SNES and Sega games could be rented from our local video store, she saved up to get me a Sega Genesis. When an ad came out in the paper with a used SNES and 20 games, she drove me to get it. She helped me track down my first Playstation in a back street pawn shop in the middle of nowhere, and she encouraged me when I was getting frustrated at the riddles in Riven. After that I picked up any system I could get my hands on, including a GameGear, Nintendo DS, Nintendo 3Ds, N64, GameCube, Nintendo Wii, Nintendo WiiU, Nintendo Switch, PS2, PS3, PS4, Xbox360, and XBoxOne. (I’m aware that Xbox isn’t in the list. Sorry Microsoft, Sony won me over with the Playstation that time). And of course I didn’t neglect the PC, without which I wouldn’t have fallen in love with the Witcher series. My favorite game of all time is Metal Gear Solid on the PS1. SNAAAAAAAAKE!
D&D was introduced into my life during high school, when our DM and a group of friends decided to try out third edition. We reserved a room in the local library and had a blast. In college I created a human Sorceress named Sora Silver. Sora was strong, powerful, relentless, and forever pursuing power greater than hers. She kicked nass and took manes. Her eternal nemesis, Jerad Turquain, was always stepping in and out of the campaigns to cause havoc. Together with a monk, rogue, Paladin, necromancer, and various other characters, Sora’s group took over Faerûn and leveled from 1 to 20 over many years. The sexy and dashing DM who first introduced me to D&D later became my husband. We’ve been together for 16 years, and have two beautiful kids together, Sora and Jerad.
In D&Derp I play Sora’s daughter, Isis Laseraph, who takes after her mother with sorcery. She was brought to this world Sora, who abandoned her shortly after. Isis is now struggling to find her place within as evil forces lurk about and threaten to destroy this new world she’s now forced to live on.
